Owen: A 'well baby'
Owen earned "well baby" status during his first visit to the pediatrician today. No worries at all from the doctor. Owen checked in at 8 pounds, 11 ounces (up from his birth weight of 7 pounds, 13 ounces).

He's such a good, calm baby - at least most of the time. Last night, for example, he slept for five straight hours, then ate, and then slept for another four hours! Amazing, especially considering the trouble we had with him on Saturday night. That evening, I brought Owen up for a feeding around 10:30 p.m. ... and he did not go to sleep until 4:30 a.m.! Sarah and I were up the entire time, watching really bad TV between handling Owen. ("Roseanne" marathon on TV Land, anybody? I didn't think so.) Talk about being tired the next day, after we arose from bed around 8 a.m. to take on the day? Tired, tired, tired.
If we get more of last night, we should be in good shape. Generally, he's off to a good start. "Well baby" indeed.
